Come to Hawk Ridge to meet award winning mixologist, author, and brand creator Justin Morales of Up n Down Rock n' Bourbon. Justin was CT Restaurant Association's mixologist of the year, has helped open many award winning restaurants, and has developed his own unique style of bourbon, known as Rock n' Bourbon, a spin on the classic Rock n Rye.

We have paired two of Justin Morales' delicious bourbon based cocktails with two of our award winning wines and delicious seasonal desserts. Ever wondered what a winemaker looks for when walking about the vineyard? Join our Assistant Winemaker Adrienne Lindstrom on Thursday, August 22nd, at 6pm for an evening educational stroll around our vineyard and learn about the various characteristics of grapes that we look for as they ripen. You will learn about the key differences between table grapes and wine grapes, sample some of the grapes off of the vine, and also try 3 of our Estate Grown wines amongst the grapes they are made from. Adrienne will provide an education on grape growing and winemaking in New England and also answer any questions you may have. The vineyard walk will take approximately one hour and you will taste our Estate Red, White and Rose wines.

There will be time at the end of the evening to grab a bite to eat and another glass of wine, if you would like to relax and enjoy the farm. The kitchen and bar will be open for food and wine sales until 7:30.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. The vineyard grass may be wet and ground uneven, so please consider proper footwear.

In case of severe rain, patrons will be notified and the event will be held the following evening, on Friday August 23rd, at 6pm.

Chef Lane is returning to Hawk Ridge for another of his informative and delicious cooking classes. Chef Lane has many years of experience as a talented chef and master of the coals and has a wealth of knowledge and passion to share.

In this class, Chef Lane will provide guided instruction and demonstration of how to make some Caribbean food classics such as Jerk Chicken, Kalua Pork, Smoked Oxtails, and Caribbean style rice. He provides excellent notes to take home so you can recreate his magical recipes for your friends and family. Along with the instruction and demonstration, the class will conclude with samples of Chef Lane's delicious Caribbean recipes. A glass of beer, wine, or a slushie will also be included in your ticket price, so that you can wash down all of that delicious food!

As Chef Lane would say "Where there is smoke, there's flavor!" and we say "Bring it Chef Lane!". Join us for a fun filled and delicious evening!

*This event will be held in our Hawk's Nest loft, which is not handicapped accessible.
